After I put these pictures up, a friend of mine told me how they reminded her of a few of Cary Mae Weem's photographs. I had never heard of her before, so I researched her work and thought that the similarities were really interesting because our messages are different yet some elements of the pictures are the same. I love how she uses text with her photographs...
