Nyack HPS Photo Gallery

At school I'm part of the photography club on campus called Honorary Photo Society (HPS) and just a few weeks ago we had such an amazing opportunity - a gallery! And no, not the kind we usually create out of a dusty utility closet at school, this time it was legit. A father of one of the member's owns this gallery and let us all have two pictures each to hang on the walls for about a month.
The gallery opening was great too. I think we were all a little nervous because everything had to be arranged pretty last minute, but at the opening all the photos meshed really nicely and a lot of people showed up to support.

My first picture - I took this summer in the studio with my canon rebel xs.

My second picture - the half-face of Terra with the scarf that I also took with my canon slr rebel xs. Sorry about the reflections on the pictures, I just wanted to show what the gallery pretty much looked like. Also, I've added both of these pictures to this blog at different points too.

My mom looking beautiful above.

Another parent looking at one area of the gallery - a really cool, modern and open space.

And, even though we all gathered there to look at old photos, I couldn't help myself by taking some more new ones. Here's one I found interesting - I like the horizontal lines coinciding with the vertical cross, and how the ideas contrast as well (barbed wire vs. holy cross)

Any ways, I'm on vacation now so I will be uploading more now that I have more free time.
Enjoy and relax in this beautiful turning of spring!
